We have had a great start to the Rural Remedies programme which is funded by the community lottery fund. Since June 2023 we have supported 33 young people, our referrals have mainly come directly from parents and we have a waiting list.
I have learned that since the covid 19 pandemic the young people have needed the most help when transitioning from primary school to a secondary school setting and this has been the most common reason for our referrals. Interestingly we have more boys accessing our programme in this age group.
