I’ve been so busy lately sorting out the new calves that I’ve not had time to write anything in my blog. It didn’t take long for most of the calves to realise that I’m boss around here, but there’s one pedigree Simmental calf, called Diamond Dolly, who won’t listen. She’s got a lot to learn, but she still gives me the run around whenever she gets the opportunity. She’s not my favourite. I know in time we can change her attitude and I am sure with patience we will become friends. I’m much better friends with another calf, called Houdini, who has a really nice nature. And there is a rumour going around the farm that I might get a tasty treat tomorrow, as he is getting castrated!
In other news, I was star struck with Pudsey the dog who won Britain’s Got Talent! Did you see them dancing? He had no nerves at all, but he didn’t get to kiss any of the judges. I would have gone to give David Walliams a kiss myself; he’s such a positive person.
Anyhow, I just want to say that we all have skills and qualities that are different from each other. I know I am as smart as Pudsey, but dancing is not for me at all. But I am being encouraged to walk on two legs everyday (but why would I when I have got four?)! Try as they might they need to find something I want to do in order for me to do really well. If you haven’t found your talent yet keep trying new things, because we all have one. I really think my strength, besides training the cows and protecting the boss, is singing. I really can reach those high notes others can’t get to. In fact, I should get off to practice – me and the donkey have a great duet going on like the runners-up in Britain’s Got Talent and I also have the look…stubble, rough hair, twinkle in the eye and my own special walk.
