Our good friends at Hilfield Friary have raised over £1,000 for Future Roots from a good ol’ fashioned barn dance.
Hilfield Friary has been the home to Franciscan brothers since 1921 and today they have a particular emphasis on promoting the values of care for creation, working for peace and justice, and seeking respectful dialogue with people of other faiths.
It was an absolute delight when we found out that they would be supporting us by arranging a barn dance and barbecue, which took place last month. We were joined by around 60 people who all enjoyed the live music and wonderful food. Future Roots was also given the donations from Brother Vincent’s Snowdrop Day to support our work.
