Careers evening at Gillingham School.
We had an extremely productive and inspiring evening at Gillingham School, where Future Roots Ambassadors encouraged students in Years 10 and 11 to explore career paths in Agriculture.
Ambassadors Ollie and Jack were excellent role models, demonstrating that hard work leads to achieving career goals. As young farm managers, they resonated strongly with the students while sharing their personal journeys and experiences on the road to success.
The event generated significant interest in our organisation. We received many inquiries about post-16 opportunities, as well as short break provisions for younger siblings.
Parents at the event also expressed strong support for the reintroduction of more vocational courses to better cater to less academic students. They were particularly pleased to hear about the new government initiative for 2026, which Future Roots, as an alternative provision, welcomes wholeheartedly.
