Ambassadors Walk

Future Roots – Ambassadors Walk with The High Sheriff.

On Saturday 26th September – Our amazing Future Roots Ambassadors took part in an extremely important and highlighting walk supporting Dorset’s High Sheriff – Helena Conibear in raising awareness of County Lines by walking the whole county line of Dorset.

Our set off point was from St Mary Magdalene’s Church at Thornford, from there we walked to Yetminster’s Old School Gallery café, for tea and delicious cakes. We then continued on using footpaths and bridleways across beautiful fields and woodland to make our way to our destination of Halstock village Hall.

It was a good opportunity to talk about our experiences with county lines and the devastation caused to families as a result of drug use and activity in the community.

Future Roots Ambassadors were really pleased to help highlight the struggles against drug use among young people in general and felt honoured to be helping in raising awareness of it.

The walk was around 10 miles long and really forged a feeling of positivity and community .We would encourage all who are able to contribute as much as you can afford toward Helena’s donation page  and this worthy cause.
