A tombola organised by one of the county’s flagship retailers has raised £87.05 for The Countrymen’s Club.
SCATS Countrystores in Dorchester, which will be renamed Mole Country Stores in August, draws farmers, trades people, contractors and the general public from all over Dorset. For those who have never visited, SCATS stocks rural products including farming, smallholding, equestrian, pet, clothing and footwear, gardening furniture and products as well as a selection of the finest locally sourced food and drink.
Over the Easter weekend Julie Linee, Assistant Manager, arranged a tombola with prizes donated from local businesses and staff.
Julie Plumley, director of Future Roots, said:
“It’s wonderful that local agricultural businesses are supporting this project. To have SCATS Countrystores behind us makes a big difference and is yet another way how the farming community supports those who need extra support in their lives.”
