The Blackmore Vale Magazine reported last week about our recent Bygone Day and The Countrymen’s Club. A big thanks to Victoria McManus for coming out to see us.
CALLING ALL COUNTRYMEN: A 1944 Ransomes MG2 crawler and disc harrow is put through its paces by owner Christopher at a Bygone Day held near Sherborne. Celebrating vintage tractors and machinery, the weekend camping event at Rylands Farm, Holnest, raised money for The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and NASS (NAtional Ankylosing Spondylitis Society) while also publicising the launch of Future Roots’ newest project, The Countrymen’s Club. The club is for older men who want to remain active and involved in the countryside and who want to share their knowledge of farming and rural skills with others. For details, call 01963 210703 or visit www.countrymen.org.uk.
