This year’s event is on Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th September in 2 fields beside Rylands Farm in Holnest near Sherborne.
The fayre was created purely to raise funds for and to support Future Roots. Please take a moment to look at the website to see what wonderful work they do.
The Holnest Country Fayre has been going for the last 5 years and had a footfall of around about 1,200 for the weekend.
Our intention is to try and double this amount within the next 2 years. Our entrance prices last year were £5 per adult and £2.50 for children. This year we are charging £5 per car, which will include a free programme.
We are also looking at increasing our activities for the children and our main ring. This should enhance the families want to stay for the day rather than just a couple of hours.
We have the use of two fields.
One we are calling ‘Yesterday’ which will have many examples of our historical past including:
- Vintage Cars & Bikes
- Stationary & small steam engines
- Military vehicles
- Village of demonstrating crafts
- Horse & Cart
- Working machinery
The other field ‘Today’ will have the more modern traditional stalls and activities. These will include:
- Food & Drink stalls (Hot & Cold)
- Craft stalls
- Main Ring entertainment
- Many Children’s activities
- Selection of Chef & Producer Demonstrations
- Many varied other stalls
We are hoping that with this revamp of Holnest Country Fayre, we will see a significant benefit to all involved. Thank you for taking your time in reading this and we hope to see you involved at Holnest Country Fayre 2017.
